Site Council Mission

The purpose of the site council is

  • Vehicle for school community to come together to chart the school's path to improvement.
  • A forum for all players to identify common goals and establish a plan.
  • Cooperative manner to develop an effective curricular and instructional program.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive strategy to improve curriculum and instruction.
  • Establish and maintain a vision of the skills and knowledge students need to be competitive.
  • Coordinate with the district to upgrade its curriculum offerings and quality of instruction.

One significant responsiblity of the Site Council is to approve the School Plan. Click here to learn about Valencia's School Plan.

The Site Council usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the evening at 7:00 PM in the Valencia School cafeteria. The meeting agenda usually includes a report from the principal and from Valencia's North Zone representatives.

The current (2008-2009 school term) members of the Site Council and their terms are as follows:
